Last update: November 27, 2024 (updated 3rd-party services)
Intro
We value your privacy. That’s why we do not track, collect or store any personally-identifying data, locally or on our servers. We don’t and won’t sell your data to anyone, ever!
We do not track you, whatever the reason. The analytics and crash reports we have are provided by Apple and are anonymous.
We only handle the minimal information we need to enable certain features (e.g. to be able to send you Push Notifications).
We use third-party services. We encourage you to check their privacy policy.
Trakt
Rippple is a Trakt client. As such, the app makes a lot of requests to the Trakt API. This includes requests to fetch the content you’ll read on screen and the content you (intentionally through Rippple) share with the community. We recommend that you read Trakt.tv Privacy Policy to see what they can do with your data.
Push Notifications
In order to be able to send you Push Notifications (Subscribers only), we need to send some information to our servers. The information we send is transported securely and the information is stored securely.
This information has only one purpose: for us to be able to link your trakt username with your push identifier to be able to send a notification to your device.
We also store some information about the version of the app you are using to be able to make smart choices when formatting the notification.
All information regarding push notifications is removed from our storage when you disable notifications (or when you unsubscribe) from the app.
You can also ask us to manually delete your information that may still be in that database (e.g. if you delete the app). You just need to send us your trakt username.
Analytics and Crash reports
The only analytics we have and use to improve our app (acquisition, retention, performance,…) are the analytics and crash reports provided by Apple through App Store Connect.
The information is collected, stored and shared with us anonimously by Apple.
You can enable or disable that anytime you want from your device’s Settings.
